Beau Skin Artistry began with one beautiful bottle, a family ritual and a love for richly nourished skin.

During a visit to Italy, Fundi Ndaba discovered a quaint luxury oil bar owned by Julia Rossi. Surrounded by beautiful bottles and the warm fragrance of carefully blended oils, she selected a rich, luxurious body oil that felt unlike anything she had used before. It was deeply indulgent, beautifully fragranced and made everyday body care feel like a special ritual.

Fundi treasured that bottle and kept it for the longest time, using only a few precious drops at a time.

Years later, when her mother, our grandmother, came to visit, she complained that her skin felt extremely dry and needed something richer than the products she was using. Fundi began experimenting in her home, combining nourishing oils with existing creams and body products. She added a few drops of the treasured oil from Italy, creating a richer, more indulgent blend that left her mother’s skin feeling soft, comfortable and beautifully nourished.

What began as a personal act of care soon became a family favourite.

Fundi’s sisters, relatives and family friends began asking about the cream. They wanted their own jars and returned for more. Each blend was mixed by hand, shared with love and refined through the experiences of the women and families who used it.

The name Belle Pelle, meaning “beautiful skin” in Italian, was inspired by the place where the story began and the beautiful results the family had come to love.

We, Nomzamo Ndaba and Tshegofatso Dithung, grew up helping my mother mix the creams, combine the oils, prepare the jars and share each new creation. What began around our family table gradually developed into something much bigger, a beauty brand rooted in care, family, discovery and intention.

Today, Beau Skin Artistry carries that story forward through luxurious body, skin and hair rituals created for different people, generations and seasons of life.

It is more than skincare. It is the story of a treasured bottle, a grandmother’s need for deeper nourishment, a mother’s creativity and a daughter helping to transform a family ritual into a growing African luxury beauty house.
